Trading

Buying from shops, trading with players, and the scams to refuse.

A shop sells what its stock list says at the price shown, and buys back for less than it charges, item by item. Players trade through the trade box: right-click a player, choose trade, and both sides put up what they are giving. Nothing outside the trade box is a trade , a “drop trade” is just a dropped item anyone may pick up. The game’s own help on buying, selling and the usual scams follows.

Buying/Trading

Buying and trading items are essential in game play.

How do I buy items?

To buy items visit a shop and click on the shop npc, then you will see a list of items up for sale.

How do I trade items?

To trade items with someone right click on their character and choose the option trade. A trade box will pop up. Both players need to put up something for trade in order for it to work.

Warning:

Many players try all sorts of tricks to scam players, Always trade with trade box and always carefully look at your trade.

Scams to look out for!

When a player insists their trade box doesn't work.

trade box will always be working, if it works for you it works for them. Never agree to a drop trade. Drop trades are insecure and anyone can pass by unexpectantly and grab the item.

When a person tries to switch gold amt quickly.

Always double check when trading gold. Most people try to trick your eyes by quickly switching from 30k to 3k. Always double check before absolutely agreeing that the gold amt is correct.

Watch out gold under items

Sometimes scammers will offer gold then place a bunch of worthless items after it pushing the gold amt at the bottom of the trade window where you can't see it. If you are trading many items, always scroll down to see everything.

Scammers who quickly switch items

you need to trade slowly and not be hasty. If you are quick to accept the bargain scammers (somehow) manage to switch items before you get a chance to decline.

Important:

If a trade goes wrong, admins are not responsible. Every player needs to trade with caution.

Selling

Sell your items back at the shop you bought it, but you will get less that half of what you bought it for. Or you can sell your items to other players. Please Sell honestly.

How do I know the price of certain items?

The best way to get a good opinion on what something is worth is to ask the players on global. (See chat manual to see how to global) Ask for a price check on certain items and maybe someone will tell you.

Scams

Please be wary of different scams and scammers.
