Lucky Charm

The Lucky Charm comes from the level-32 quest Lucky Dreams (the repeatable Lucky Charm quest replaces a lost one). Right-click it and choose an item from its list, and while the charm is charged that item’s drop rate is raised for you[1].

Charging

The charge fills to 1,000 points from kills at level 30 or above[2], and you must be level 30 to charge it: a monster is one point, a boss four. Up to the first 500 the chosen item can be changed freely; past it, changing resets the charge to 500[3]. Anything past 1,000 is wasted.

Spending

One use a week, resetting Sunday midnight Pacific. An unused charge carries over; a spent one starts from zero. How much it helps depends on how rare the item is: a core, normally 1% from its boss, becomes 30% at full charge[4]; a rare armour stays near 1%. When the drop lands, it goes to the gift box[5]. Everything the charm drops is bound, not tradeable, sellable or droppable[6], and so is anything crafted from a charmed core[7]. Collector items (the sombreros, the Octo Cap) cannot be charmed.
