Experience boost

A catch-up multiplier for characters under level 30, by how close the monster is to you.

The experience boost exists to bring a new character up to level 30, and it is two rules together: who it applies to and how much it gives.

Who it applies to

It is full strength up to level 25, declines steadily from there, and is gone at level 30. From 30 on, every kill pays the monster’s own experience, the number on its page, and nothing else.

Above OR below: out-levelling your hunting ground costs you as much as over-reaching does. A monster’s level shows in its name plate when you hover over it. The training guide gives every figure as the monster’s own experience; the boost is what the game adds on top of it for a character under 30.
