Events

The public events every player can join: scheduled fights open to every eligible player, and the game-wide boosts. 10 events and 4 game-wide boosts. The invasion fights pay experience and event coins; some events pay their own item instead. The seasonal ones (Halloween, the Pengu Christmas, Valentine weekend, the anniversary packs) are on the events history, with every update that ran one.

The events

Pirate Invaders

Also called Port raid. Pirates land at the port in three waves, each larger than the last; the captain comes with the third. The next wave does not come until every pirate of the last is dead, and the event is won when the captain dies. Only the pirates wearing a hat or carrying a bottle drop those items.

Monsters: Pirate Invader Scout, Pirate Invader Drunk, Pirate Invader Butcher.

Drops to hunt: Captain Hat, Butcher Sword, Pirate Bottle.

Swamp Swarm

Rotvein attacks the swamp west of El Frogo Temple; the monsters spawn over the whole map, three waves, then Rotvein. The whip drops from the tentacles and the boss, the mask from the boss alone.

Monsters: Swarm Tentacle, Swarm Viper, Swarm Tentarok.

Drops to hunt: Rotwhip, Rot Mask.

Kraken Attack

Also called Release the Kraken. The Kraken surfaces at the platforms in Atlantis and moves from side to side across both; players who defeat it have a chance at the fish head.

Monsters: Kraken Tentacle.

Drops to hunt: Deep Fish.

Gnome Raid

Gnomes raid the town square from three directions. The Psycho Hat is a 0.05% drop from every gnome and cannot be charmed.

Monsters: Gnome Raider Gnome, Gnome Raider Rider.

Drops to hunt: Psycho Hat.

March of the Orcs

Also called Orc March. Orcs march from the fort north of Hallodale down the road into the town square, three waves of scouts, brutes and crushers. Once in the square they stop and fight. Every orc can drop the Orc Head.

Monsters: Orc Invader Scout, Orc Invader Brute, Orc Invader Crusher.

Drops to hunt: Orc Head.

Rats in Aeven

The ratcatcher runs into town for help: everyone defeats rats for 15 minutes to fill one shared progress bar.

Jar of 1000 Lights

Also called Night of a 1000 Lights. Once per moon the valley fills with fireflies; players gather them together toward a shared goal. Faye Firefly leads it: craft a Firefly Catcher at the Faye Firefly Exchange to catch fireflies and move the event on.

Halloween in Aeven

Also called The Return of the Pumpkin Lord. Aeven turns to cobwebs, spiders and ghost light in October and the Pumpkin Lord raises his army; the rewards mix returning and new Halloween items. Candy Wizzard and the Candy Shop are there only while the event runs.

Monsters: Chaos Pumpkin.

Bones at the Gates

Four skeleton invaders, all of them level 50: the Scout at 8,000 hitpoints, the Skullhead at 18,000, the Warrior at 34,000 and the Champ at 66,000. They appear for the event and are not found anywhere else.

Monsters: Skele Invader Scout, Skele Invader Warrior, Skele Invader Champ, Skele Invader Skullhead.

Drops to hunt: Skull Head.

Turtle Alert!

Hatchling turtles are collectible NPCs: you click them rather than fight them. Tina Turtlewatch stands on Tropica Port, and the Turtlewatch Exchange there takes a Turtle Ticket and answers with one of six things, the Tropica Hat among them.

Monsters: Hatchling Turtle.

Drops to hunt: Tropica Hat.

Game-wide boosts

Taking part

• Level 15 or above.
• Land 20 hits on the event monsters once; after that you are eligible every time, even standing still on the map.
• If you are there when the event starts, dying or disconnecting during it still keeps your reward.
• A banner gives a few minutes' warning; the schedule shows the next events, their times and rewards.

Event coins

An invasion fight pays 3 event coins to everyone eligible. Laser tag, Capture, Freezetag and Arena pay coins with six or more players; the three team games need three a side and pay the winning team one coin each; Arena pays every player a coin. Wack is one against one and never pays coins.

What they buy: Red Royal, Blue Royal, Jester Hat, Arena Scroll, Waystone, Agent Purple and Agent Boots Purple.
