A buddy is a pet that follows you about.

Buddies

Two come by daily chance. In the daily quest Hatching Mogui (level 40), Brom ‘The Hatcher’ on the Dragon Path hatches a Dragon Egg from the Nostalgia Dragon Den, with a chance at a Mini Mogui each day^[1]; the daily quest Taming Erminu (level 40) at Yettina Furfoot on Snowlandia Top gives a chance at an Erminu each day^[2]. The Hoppers are built at the Hopper Buildplate in the Lasertag Hub: a Hopper Mainboard (the daily Hopper Chest), 20 Electronics and 15 buddy coins for a pink or a green one, and the gold one from one of each.

Buddy coins

The daily quest Making Buddies pays one buddy coin for two Buddy Food^[3]. Buddy Food is made at the Buddy Chef in Nostalgia from five Chewyherb and one Egg; chewyherb grows on nodes all over Nostalgia, eggs come from the market or the piggy farmer’s basement. So a coin a day costs ten herbs and two eggs. The quests Runaway Piggy^[4] and Lost Kitty each pay one coin once.^[5]

Hunter coins, which the higher buddies also take, come from the dailies Aeven Hunt^[6] (level 20, the Aeven Hunter by the well in the forest outside the stronghold) and Ocean Hunt (level 26, Atlantis): a named monster and a count. The Aeven Hunt target shuffles every 12 hours and Nibby’s every 4^[7]; the one you have taken stays yours until you cancel it. Two coins a day.
